Excel_2013_logoThere are many time-saving features available in Excel to make you a more efficient user of the application. In this training session, you will explore the following:

  • Mouse shapes – What do the different mouse shapes mean, and how can they save you time as you work in a file?
  • “Names” – Names allow you to navigate quickly to different parts of your workbook; and they make it easier to understand the purpose of a cell reference within a formula.
  • Sorting – Sorting data is a common function when working with lists of data. With a properly set up list, Excel makes sorting a breeze.
  • View multiple worksheets – There may be times when you’d like to view more than one worksheet from the same file at the same time. Using the “New Window” button is where you start – after that, it’s just a matter of arrangement.
  • Edit multiple worksheets at the same time – When you have files that contain multiple worksheets, and those worksheets are setup identically (you might be tracking the same type of data for different people or items, for example), you can make global design changes to worksheets instead of changing each sheet individually. When you have multiple worksheets selected, a change made to one, will affect all selected sheets.
