Formulas are equations that perform calculations on values in your worksheet. The way you build a formula in Excel determines whether or not the result of your formula automatically updates, as changes are made to data. If formulas are set up properly, one change to your data will update all formulas that reference that piece of information. When creating “nested” formulas, which contain more than one type of math within the same formula, you must understand the “Order of Operations” – this is how Excel knows which calculation to perform first.

In this training session, we will cover addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using operators ( + – / * ) and functions (SUM, AVERAGE). The training will also cover creating “3-D” math formulas. 3-D formulas allow you to do math across multiple worksheets – make a change on one worksheet, and have it automatically update a figure it refers to on another worksheet.

This workshop is for the individual who is new to creating formulas in Excel, or for someone who wants a refresher. Please join us for this informative training session!
